An Avalanche Safety course is like a First Aid course. It is essential information that could save someone's life but you hope you never have to use it.
However, understanding the 'Companion Rescue' technique is absolutely crucial. It is your best chance of saving a life and needs to become second nature to you when travelling on snow in the backcountry.
You may own a transceiver, shovel and probe which is a great start, but knowing how to use them effectively is essential. If you don't own any equipment, we can supply it.
During our course, we will train you on how to locate someone in under five minutes. We will also teach you how to use your probe and shovel.
